What is Canicross ?
Canicross is a canine sport where a human is linked by a waist belt, an extensive lanyard and a harness to his dog. Making both the same physical effort, either running or walking, the master benefits from his dog’s inertia. Due to the dog’s strength, as small as he can be, traction is exerted and can be greatly useful, during climbing, among other things
This activity can adapt to all physical condition, as long as each rhythm is respected. All dogs’ breeds can pull; we are looking for a certain energy level. With comfortable and secure equipment, the master can control his dog with all his body, while his hands remain free.
This activity is a great opportunity for your dog to socialize with its canine brothers and contribute to the pack’s power. Since you are a team with your dog, you immediately improve the quality of your relationship with your dog. In this cohesion, you will build a mutual trust and great fun while running the trails! Have a great Canicross !
